The only sessions that I love even more than maternity are motherhood sessions.
These sessions are usually a one on one with your child because they are meant to take the time needed to capture all the details of a deep and lasting connection.
I could not have loved this session more as I got to photograph a mamma with her 8-week-old little boy.
To watch quietly after lightly directing them to do the things they always do was such a privilege.
My goal is to prepare my clients, so they feel at ease, confident, supported, and then work with the environment, lighting, using constant communication, and angles to tell their story best.
Every story is different.
Every bond is unique.
Yet these moments are so important, and they have a lasting impact on future generations.
I could not help but think about how I longed to have these images for my son when he was 8 weeks old and of my own mother when I was 8 weeks old.
I know this precious boy will thank his mom for these one day and have some deep revelation about the story of his mother’s love for him.
