What Is A Motherhood Session & When Should I Book One?
Motherhood sessions are great because they allow you to spend time with you child in a unique way.
I suggest sessions like these in the summer when the kids have a break from school and the days are longer.
How To Get Your Kids To Want A Motherhood Session With You!
Kids may not always want to “take pictures.”
However, if you follow this protocol, I bet they will be begging for a date like this with you every year:
✔️ Let them stay up late! Summer nights are long and this will break up the week with something unique.
✔️ Share a little sugary date at Starbucks or Menchies before the session.
✔️ Let them get dressed up (okay – so maybe just for the girlie girls who like dresses).
✔️ Have a special one-on-one date together where all your attention is on them.
✔️ Find a photographer who will not force them to “smile” or “look at the camera”.
✔️ Have fun exploring a new outdoor location together! Fields, parks, gardens, and creeks are fun for most kids!
✔️ Finally, don’t forget to remind them that after the session, you’ll both get prints (or better yet an album!) of your special date.
Kids need visuals like this daily to remind them that they are loved, special, and worth your time.
If done correctly, your kids will cherish the experience, have fun, and ask you to do it again!
